I promise not to say it every week, but wow, time flies. We have turned the corner (I think), and are starting to feel like we have a general idea of life as a family of four. It requires good planning and preparation, and much patience. :) Ruthie is a great baby. She seems to be falling into a little routine which is nice. She eats twice at night, but goes right back down, so that is bearable. She takes a super long nap in the afternoon and for now that has coincided with Cade's so that makes me happy. She is very alert in the mornings, which means that if I want us to get out the door before 11, I have to start early. She is much stronger than Cade was at this age. She has great head control, and during tummy time the other night, she rolled over twice. Andy and I thought this was hilarious since we knew it was just a fluke, but Cade was a weakling at this age. ;) I am sure she won't be stronger than him for long. We went to her two week check-up and she was up over her birthweight at 8 pounds 6 ozs (50 %) her height was 21 1/2 inches (97%) and her head circumference was 14 (50%). As you can tell from the pictures below, no one will ever have a head like Cade's. I was pleased with her weight because she dropped to 7 pounds 8 ounces the day we left the hospital and was up to 8'6 exactly 2 weeks later. So she is gaining weight well. That is always nice for a nursing mama to hear.
I love Monday's because Andy is off work. So, my goal is each Monday to make him take pictures of the kids. I am worried that we won't have an even amount of pictures since we have about 1 million of Cade. I am enjoying putting her in all of her outfits. She has so many that I am having to change her several times a day. Oh well, the life of a girl. Here are some pictures from our photo shoot today!Semi-new post below!
